As the world's largest privately owned recycling and packaging company, Visy Industries' long term global strategy is to provide our customers with the world's best packaging and recycling solutions.

Visy's integrated recycling, papermaking and packaging operation provides an ideal platform from which to achieve this goal. During the past five years Visy has invested more than $2 billion in its Australian, New Zealand and North American recycling, paper and packaging operations. Additionally, we have added substantial depth to the packaging products and services we offer, moving from a paper and corrugated-based packaging focus to incorporate beverage cans, food cans, PET and aseptic packaging, enabling Visy to offer its customers a total packaging service. We will continue to invest in innovation

Each year, Visy invests more than $20 million in research and development activities. The expansion of Visy's major technology centre at our Coolaroo manufacturing site in Victoria, Australia, is leading to even better outcomes for our customers in terms of packaging performance, new products and new services.

We will continue to invest in technology and capital equipment

The next five years will see Visy investing more than $1 billion to build upon its position in existing markets and to establish operations in new markets.

The construction of Visy's $400 million kraft paper mill in Tumut in New South Wales, Australia, and our investment in additional packaging operations like VisyPak and Visy Board Wodonga illustrate our commitment to re-investing to remain a world-leading packaging and recycling company.

Our business could not have achieved the remarkable results it has to date without the stewardship, commitment and talent displayed by our people. We recognise the importance of identifying, training and developing our company's best people to take our business to new heights.
